January 20 was an historic day of relief for America and the Labor Movement. After four and a half years of anti-worker policies and racist rhetoric, union members sent Pennsylvania’s own Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House.
For years we have fought back against disastrous policies that have cost the lives and livelihoods of millions of Americans. For months union members put it all on the field to advocate for pro-worker champions like Joe Biden up and down the ballot.
Now is a time for unity in pursuit of a common vision. The Labor Movement will be part of advancing a Workers First agenda centered on Workers Rights. With a pro-worker President, we will fight as a movement to protect the rights and equal opportunities for all Americans. The State AFL-CIO continues to fight for working people across Pennsylvania.
Already, the Biden Administration is working to advance the rights of working people. In his first hours in office, President Joe Biden took action to secure the rights and protect the well-being of America’s working families by removing Peter Robb as @NLRB general counsel.
