Workers Memorial Day Events Across Pennsylvania

WMD_mournsticker-700Workers Memorial Day will be observed next week by AFL-CIO Central Labor Councils and Chapters across Pennsylvania.  The AFL-CIO declared April 28 to be Workers Memorial Day, in honor and remembrance of those who have been injured or died on the job.  In 2015, 4,836 workers lost their lives on the job.  That’s more than 13 people per day.

Every worker has the right to a safe and healthy workplace.  The labor movement continues to fight for workers’ health and safety.  In Pennsylvania, we are fighting to extend the protections of the Occupational Health and Safety Act to all workers.  The following is a list of Workers Memorial Events across the Commonwealth.  We hope you will join us as we remember our fallen brothers and sisters.
