USW District 10 First in the Field for #Labor 2018

Unknown-9The United Steelworkers of District 10 are demonstrating what it is to reach out to members and get the union message out on pro-worker, pro-union candidates like Governor Tom Wolf, U.S. Senator Bob Casey and other labor-endorsed candidates. USW was the first union to release Pennsylvania members to work for the AFL-CIO Labor 2018 program in Pennsylvania.

Across Pennsylvania, Steelworkers are leafletting at plant gates and holding labor walks and canvasses.  Starting most days before dawn, USW District 10 is out talking to fellow union sisters and brothers and letting them know that this election is even more important than all the others.

Defending our rights to join and form unions, to negotiate for a fair return on our work means getting out and talking to our members.  Too much is at stake on November 11.

This election isn’t about party.  It’s not about who you voted for in 2016.  This election, on November 6, is about defending our basic economic rights.  The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO thanks District 10 Director Bob McAuliffe for his leadership and dedication to electing pro-union representatives. The commitment of United Steelworkers District 10 demonstrates the whole-hearted determination of the Labor Movement to a member-to-member campaign.
