A New CLUW Chapter in Pennsylvania!

We want to congratulate our sisters in the York-Adams Central Labor Council, who were granted their official chapter charter this week!  They join Pennsylvania’s seven other CLUW sister chapters: Central PA, Laurel Highlands, Neshaminy-Bucks, Northeast PA, Philadelphia, and Southwest PA.

We encourage all union brothers and sisters to show their support for equality in the workplace, join your local CLUW chapter and get involved!

The Coalition of Labor Union Women was formed in 1974 as a nonpartisan constituency group for union women.  Their primary mission is “to unify all union women in a viable organization to determine our common problems and concerns and to develop action programs within the framework of our unions to deal effectively with our objectives”.

Members of CLUW are vocal advocates for equal pay, child and elder care benefits, job security, safe workplaces, affordable health care, contraceptive equity, and protection from sexual harassment and violence at work.
