Over 100 AFL-CIO Volunteers Walking Door to Door in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton for Kerry/Edwards on the Eve of their Nominations
On Saturday, July 24, 2004 over 100 AFL-CIO volunteers from New Jersey and the Lehigh Valley will be canvassing neighborhoods in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton, Pennsylvania for John Kerry/John Edwards on the eve of their acceptance of the Democratic nomination.
Pennsylvania is a key state on the road to the White House and the Lehigh Valley is a critical region for capturing Pennsylvania. AFL-CIO volunteers are continuing to canvass throughout Pennsylvania as part of the AFL-CIO’S outreach program to inform and mobilize America’s working families around issues central to their lives and future in the 2004 election.
The Walks will begin at 9:00 A.M., Saturday, July 24, 2004 at the Van Bittner Steel Hall, 53 E. Lehigh Street, Bethlehem, PA. A Chicken BBQ will be held at the conclusion of the walks at approximately 1:00 P.M.
