Resolution No. 10

STRIKERS AND WORKERS’ COMPENSATION

WHEREAS, Striking or locked-out workers are part of the workforce; and

Picketing and other duties are a regular part of workers’ activities in a strike or lock-out; and

Employers or their agents, including private security, intimidate workers who are on strike or lock-out; and

Employers or their agents injure workers engaged in protected work-related activity; and

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO support legislation to provide Workers’ Compensation to workers on strike or locked-out who are injured as part of their lawful, job-related activity.
