PRIVATIZATION OF SOCIAL SECURITY

            WHEREAS, Social Security has been an integral part of working families’ retirement income since the ‘40s and Social Security is the difference for many working families of a retirement with dignity or a retirement of poverty.

         THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO oppose the privatization of Social Security and the risk it places on our retirees and our members,

And that we lobby the United States Congress, the United States Senate and the President to oppose privatization of Social Security.
