2004 Convention Resolutions

Resolution No. 47

ADVOCATE ORGANIZING          

WHEREAS, The continued growth and success of our Pennsylvania Labor Movement is dependent on the extension of the benefits of Collective Bargaining Representation to all citizens of Pennsylvania; and

The protection of our membership and our present Collective Bargaining Contracts are also dependent on organizing all of the unorganized within our jurisdiction;

            THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That each delegate at the Convention accept the personal responsibility to organize the unorganized; and

THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That each Local Union pledge to make a determined effort to maintain active Organizing Programs at all times and to utilize it’s personnel and financial resources in a concerted effort to organize the unorganized in their jurisdiction.
