Harrisburg CLC hosts Diaper Drive to Address Community Need

On Saturday September 11th The Harrisburg Central Labor Council in conjunction with the Harrisburg Diaper bank and several other non-profits participated in a diaper drive. Diapers are often an overlooked necessity, and it showed in the amount families that came out. According to the National Diaper Bank Network a non-profit that works on diaper insecurity.

  • 1 in 3 U.S. families reports experiencing diaper need.
  • Infants require up to 12 diapers per day, toddlers about 8.
  •  No state or federal child safety-net program allocates dollars specifically for the purchase of diapers.
