UPDATE: Paycheck “Protection” Bills SB 166 and SB 167 are scheduled to be voted on in the State Senate this week. We urge you to call your Senator and tell them to oppose SB 166 and SB 167! Use 1-844-284-9249 or join our letter campaign.
As one of their first orders of business in 2017, the Pennsylvania State Senate is planning to push “Paycheck Protection” Senate Bills 166 and 167 through the State Government Committee on Wednesday, January 25. Senator Scott Wagner and his crony, Senator Eichelberger, are trying to interfere with your basic rights as workers and citizens. This is an overt attempt to undermine working families and their unions.

These bills have NOTHING to do with protecting workers and their pay. These bills only serve to DECEIVE working people, HURT the middle class, and pave the way for full-blown Right To Work “For Less” legislation. States that are subjected to “Paycheck Protection” and other, so-called “Right To Work” policies experience higher rates of poverty, greater risk of worker injury, fewer benefits, and even an increase in infant mortality. We cannot allow such policies to take root in Pennsylvania.
