Rally For a Fair #PABudget

On Monday, President Rick Bloomingdale and Secretary-Treasurer Frank Snyder joined union and community leaders, along with hundreds of protestors at the Capitol Rotunda to demand a fair budget that works for Pennsylvanians.  Organized by the Pennsylvania’s Choice campaign, a diverse coalition of PA community organizations, the Day of Action say over 500 Pennsylvanians take to the Capitol hallways and speak with their legislators about the need for a budget that puts people first. Hundreds of PA UC Call Center Workers Furloughed Week Before Christmas

Yesterday, more than 500 workers from Pennsylvania’s UC call centers were furloughed from their jobs.  Monday evening, President Rick Bloomingdale and Secretary-Treasurer Frank Snyder gathered with some of the furloughed workers, SEIU Local 668 President Tom Herman, Business Manager of Boilermakers Local 13 Martin Williams, and York County NAACP President Sandra Thompson who spoke, along with representatives of the York-Adams CLC and other partner unions, to voice their Solidarity and support for the workers who received this terrible blow, so close to the holiday.
